Report a correction
Every figure on this site comes from files the Government of Canada publishes. If something here is wrong, tell us. A person checks every report against the government source, and every correction we make is listed at the bottom of this page. Go to the form.
What we correct
- Wrong numbersAn amount, a year or a total that does not match the Global Affairs Canada file it came from.
- Wrong country, cause or organizationA line filed under the wrong country or region, a sector grouped under the wrong cause, or two recipients merged that are not the same organization.
- A questionable-projects entry that misstates its recordIf an entry describes a project, its amount or what was reported about it differently from the public record it cites.
- Broken source linksA link to a government file, spreadsheet row or Project Browser page that no longer opens or points to the wrong thing.
How we handle a report
- We read every report and look up the line in the government file it came from.
- If our site differs from the source, we fix it and add an entry to the corrections log below.
- If the government file itself is wrong, we say so in the log, link the file, and show the figure as the government published it.
- If the site matches the source, nothing changes. If you left an email address we may write back to explain.
We check new reports at least once a month, when the data is refreshed. We do not remove accurate government data on request.
